Question #6:

Fed up of being socially 'weird'... advice?

OK, so I'm 15 and female. I am different from my friends. I am highly interested in serial killers, Latin, I play electric guitar and snowboard; none of these apply to any of my friends. Yet, we still get on. That is not the issue.

I know I should be going out with them, hanging out, just spending time with my friends. I don't. I hate socialising with people my own age. I prefer to chat with older people, mainly men, like 40+, also I only find men of this agegroup attractive [as in relationship worthy] and I know I can't date men of this age yet, so don't tell me not to. I know it would be a bad idea at 15. I just prefer to talk to, spend time with and be around mature, older people. The conversations I have with them are much more interesting than with my friends.
It's not that I don't like my friends or that they don't like me. At school, everything is normal. I get invited out and sometimes do spend time with my friends, but nowhere near as much as I should be/ as much as the people at school do. Teenagers in my area hang out in one place and one place only; town. I find it boring and loathesome. I ask myself, why go and hang out when you don't want to? but I can't help but know that I am socially weird for not wanting to spend time with my friends. There's nothing to do at all in our area, so I can't even find much else to do with them.

Please help me, give me advice, anything. I don't like being so unsociable, but I really don't want to be sociable because I hate it. Thanks.

Question #7:

Getting a new snowboard and......?

I'm about to buy a new snowboard but noticed it had a directional shape. I mostly ride the parks when i go and so i was wondering if i could still ride the parks with a directional shaped board?

Question #8:

Best all around snowboard in your opinion?

OK, moving out to Colorado in about two weeks. I used to snowboard all the time when I was younger but quit from age 19-23 because of my girlfriends and partying. Anyways, I'm kind of out of the scene but I can still shred. What's the best all around board for the money these days? At the end of last season I bought a cheap Lamar just for something to ride and it's terrible. It's stiff as a board and it's like having a tank strapped to ur feet it's so heavy. I'm about 6'1" and weigh 180, athletic build, and I need a wide board because I wear 12 1/2 shoes. What would you suggest for a good price? I mostly do kickers and boxes, not really into rails, but I also want to be able to ride powder.

Question #9:

am i trespassing if i am an employee?

For the past two years i was employed as a snowboard instructor at my local mountain, and this summer during the employee picnic, my friend and i jumped off a 20 foot ledge into the hotel pool. They called my house, asking me to come into security. I am wondering if there can be any legal ramifications, such as trespassing. I was not employed directly by the hotel, but by the whole mountain, so i do not think i was trespassing, but they are threatening me with the police if i do not come in. I will most likely get fired, but i don't really care because i am moving and not working there anyway. I mostly want to find out if i can get arrested or forced to pay any fines.
also the hotel and mountain is all owned by the same company
they also have camera footage, but you cannot see my or my friends face in it, or identify us. my boss also said she did not see me at the event, and so did other people

Question #10:

Can I put my name on my husbands savings account without him being there?

He's threatening to buy a $3000 snowboard with our savings, and he made the account without me. I want to either put my name on it too or switch accounts so he can't get to it. The $3000 is the money for our baby due in Dec. I can't let him do this. He refuses to come to the bank with me.
It was a bonus from work. He went and made the account and didn't tell me. I didn't even know he was going. We had planned to go together but he just went without me.

Question #12:

How do you explain turning on your snowboard?

My friend the other day told me he had a lot of trouble turning when he went snowboarding last season and wanted me to tell him the basics. How would you explain it because I cant really think of the words. When i turn, I feel like I'm kicking my back foot around to the direction i want to go and then i stay on my edges. Other people say they lean on both feet on either their toes or heels.

Question #13:

Snowboard help! Which stuff is best worth my money?

I am trying to find a snowboard for college next year and I figure now is the best time to buy snow supplies. However, I don't know much about snowboarding. How do I know what size I need? I did some calculator online and different ones tell me different things. I've gotten a range from 138-155. I was told by an REI employee that the board should come to my bottom lip, so I got a tape measure and it was 55 inches at my bottom lip. I am a small female. 5'3 and about 118. What size do you recommend?

Also, I have been looking on eBay and Craigslist for boards, bindings, etc. I don't need anything fancy since I am just starting but I still don't want to buy a piece of junk. Does anyone know anything about the following:

-250 OBO Burton size 44
-Ride DVA series bindings
-DC Halo boots
-Roxy Silhouette H20 Board
-Roxy Silhouette Under Water Board

How much should I be paying for this stuff?

Any information or websites that can be provided would be appreciated!

Question #19:

Which ski resort in Utah is better for beginning skiers and snowboarders-Park City or the Canyons?

I am planning a family trip to Utah in December. We need to stay near/in Park City. Some kids (and adults) want to ski and some want to snowboard but most of them have never done either. Between The Canyons and Park City, which would be better all around for beginners (Deer Valley is out because it doesn't allow snowboarding)?

Question #20:

Can you have co-dominance with your brain?

I was born left-handed (and right-brain dominant) but I was forced to switch at the start of elementary school to my right hand. I recent took a quiz and it said I was half left-brain, half right-brain. I still write with my right, but I'm goofy when I snowboard. Is it possible for my brain to be co-dominant?
