The father of Stevens Pass gets a chairlift in his name (Everett Herald)

Decades before there were snowboards, North Face jackets or high-speed quad chairlifts, Bruce Kehr was at Stevens Pass. It was 1937 when Kehr and Don Adams, a skiing friend and business partner, acquired rights to a chunk of Big Chief Mountain.

Amador boasts state snowboard champion (Amador Ledger Dispatch)

The Amador High School Ski and Snowboard Team traveled to the State Championship Meet at Mammoth Mountain March 9 -12. Amador’s Sam Dellantonio, a foreign exchange student from Moena, Italy, won first place in the women’s snowboard giant slalom.
